Company Policies
1. Booking Policy
Booking Confirmation:
All bookings are confirmed only after a signed contract and a non-refundable deposit of $100–$5,000.
No Deposit = No Date Secured:
If a deposit is not received, the event date is not secured and may be booked by another client at any time without notice.
Add-Ons & Custom Orders:
Custom add-ons (photo booths, backdrops, prints, props, etc.) will not be ordered or started until a deposit is received. Delays in payment may result in:
Delayed production
Limited design options
Items not arriving in time for the event
Rush Orders:
If rush production or expedited shipping is required due to late approval or payment, all rush fees and shipping costs are the client’s responsibility.
Final Payment:
Full payment must be received during the setup process. Failure to pay may result in immediate cancellation without refund.
2. Event Design & Approval Policy
Design Timeline:
Initial design input: Recommended 30+ days before event
Final approval deadline: 7 days before event
Failure to Approve Designs:
If no approval is received by the deadline, DJLilC Entertainment may:
Choose a design on the client’s behalf, OR
Remove the design service without refund
Late Changes:
Changes requested within:
30–7 days: May incur revision fees
7 days or less: Not guaranteed + may include rush fees
72 hours or less: Not accepted (in most cases)
3. Cancellation Policy
Deposits are non-refundable.
For Events Booked Months in Advance:
30+ days before event: Loss of deposit only
14–29 days: 50% of total balance due
7–13 days: 75% due
0–6 days: 100% due
For Last-Minute Bookings (within 30 days):
14+ days before event: 50% due
7–13 days: 75% due
0–6 days: 100% due
4. Rescheduling Policy
Must be requested at least 14 days in advance
Subject to availability
One reschedule allowed; additional changes may include fees
Reschedules within 14 days are treated similarly to cancellations
5. Payment Policy
Late fee: $25 per business day (Mon–Fri)
Returned/NSF payments incur additional fees
Client is responsible for all processing fees
Any chargeback will be disputed using the signed contract
Failure to Pay:
Services may be withheld, canceled, or stopped without refund.
6. Overtime Policy
Must be approved before event end time
Billed hourly
If not approved, services will end at contracted time
7. Setup, Access & Delay Policy
Access Requirements:
Client must provide access:
As early as 1 day before, OR
At minimum 1–2 hours before event start time
Delays:
Setup delays caused by client or venue do not extend performance time
No refunds for lost time
Early Teardown Preparation:
To ensure timely exit and staff safety, staff may begin partial breakdown of non-essential equipment before event end time.
Early Event End:
No refunds or discounts if the event ends early.
8. Power & Technical Requirements
Client must provide safe, grounded, and reliable power within reasonable distance
DJLilC is not responsible for outages, overloads, or faulty circuits
Additional Equipment:
Generators, extension runs (snake), or distribution boxes (spider boxes) must be:
Provided by client, OR
Requested in advance for additional cost
Power Failure:
Interruptions caused by power issues do not qualify for refunds.
9. Equipment & Damage Policy
Only DJLilC staff may operate equipment
Client is responsible for all damage caused by guests, vendors, or venue
Includes spills, drops, theft, or misuse
10. Safety & Right to Refuse Service
Services may be stopped immediately if:
Environment is unsafe
Guests are aggressive, intoxicated, or disruptive
Equipment or staff safety is at risk
No refunds will be issued.
11. Vendor & Venue Interference Policy
Not responsible for interference from other vendors
Not responsible for venue restrictions or limitations
12. Timeline & Client Responsibility Policy
Final timeline due 7 days before event
DJLilC will make reasonable efforts to stay on schedule but cannot guarantee timing due to delays outside of our control
Client is responsible for delays caused by:
Late start
Missing details
Poor coordination
13. Music & Content Policy
Clean/explicit preferences must be stated in advance
Explicit Content:
If explicit (“dirty”) music is requested, the client must sign a content acknowledgment form releasing DJLilC from responsibility.
DJLilC is not responsible for guest song requests unless restrictions are provided
14. Weather Policy
Outdoor events require proper covering (tent, shade, etc.)
Unsafe Weather:
Services may be paused or stopped if conditions are unsafe
Weather Acknowledgment:
If weather is a concern, client may be required to sign a weather responsibility form acknowledging all risks
No refunds for weather-related interruptions
15. Force Majeure Policy
Includes but not limited to:
Weather
Power outages
Emergencies
Government restrictions
Rescheduling may be offered; refunds determined case-by-case.
16. Refund Policy
No refunds for:
Client delays
Guest interference
Venue issues
Weather (if event proceeds)
Failure to follow policies
17. Photo Booth / Add-On Policy
Props and equipment must be used properly
Damage or theft will be charged
Print/session limits are based on selected package
18. Travel & Distance Policy
Travel fees apply outside service area
Long-distance events may require lodging
19. Parking & Load-In Policy
Client must provide safe parking and unloading access
All parking fees, tickets, or citations are client responsibility
20. Insurance & Liability Policy
DJLilC is not liable for injuries or damages caused by guests
Event insurance may be required for large events
21. Media & Marketing Policy
Event Media Usage: Photos or videos taken during events may be used for promotional purposes. Clients who prefer not to have their event publicized must notify DJLilC Entertainment in writing prior to the event.
Privacy Assurance: Client and guest information will not be shared with third parties without explicit consent.
22. Agreement Clause
By booking DJLilC Entertainment, the client agrees to all terms listed above. Failure to comply may result in termination of services without refund.
23. Legal & Collection Policy
Client is responsible for all legal, collection, and court fees related to unpaid balances
Agreement is governed by the laws of the State of California
24. Indemnification Clause
Client agrees to indemnify and hold harmless DJLilC Entertainment from any claims, damages, or liabilities arising from the event, including actions of guests, vendors, or third parties.
